What is Jog-A-Thon?


This is an event where the students come together, collect pledges and run to raise money to benefit their school.




What will the proceeds support?


Our STEAM Programs! (Science, technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Children's House- Outdoor Sensory Play Station Primary & Elementry side- We are working with our teachers to create a wish list that will benefit our kids in the primary/elementary classes.




When is the Jog-A-Thon?


Friday, April 23, 2020 Starting at 8:30am




What do the runners do?


The students collect pledges from friends, family and businesses who will support their run. Due to Covid-19, this year all the pledges will be collected via the pledge star website. Students can collect pledges via a secure website

• Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit” • Follow the instructions on-screen to register students




What is a pledge?


A pledge is a fixed fee donation collected by students for their participation in the Jog-A-Thon




How far will the kids run?


The kids will run as many laps as they can in a given amount of time. To ensure safety, the younger kids will run separately from the older kids and will run a shorter distance.




What do the kids need to bring for the event?


Each participant will receive a Jog-A-Thon T-shirt. Students should bring a water bottle, sunscreen and wear running shoes.




How do I sign up for online pledges

How will this year's Jog-A-Thon be Covid-19 safe?


To ensure social distancing, classrooms will be running at different times througout the morinng and in three separate locations on campus.





8th Annual Jog-A-Thon!

We are asking all students to collect pledges and donations from family, friends, neighbors and businesses. Funds raised will go towards supporting our STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). We are working with our teachers to create a wish list that will benefit our kids on both the Primary and the Elementary sides.

 

Because of Covid-19, this year ALL pledges will be online:

  1. Students can collect pledges via a secure website
    • Go to http://pledgestar.com/mbma
    • Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
    • Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”

  2. Follow the instructions on-screen to register students

  3. When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online. (Call 1-888-598-7510 if you need assistance.)

 

The classroom with the highest participation will win pizza from Domino's Pizza.  Each student in the winning room will take home a medium-sized pizza from Domino's.

Every student will receive a fun t-shirt to wear for the run! 

In exchange for a tax-deductible donation of $250, families and businesses will get their name printed on the back of our annual Jog-A-Thon shirt. Please consider donating to help support our students and our school programs. Now is a great time to start making a list of family, friends and businesses you patron that can help you Leave Your Lasting Footprint!
